As an extrovert, I love talking to people, which lends itself quite nicely to recruitment. With over 9 years of recruitment experience under my belt, I know a thing or two about the legal industry in Australia and I have been called an encyclopedia more times than I would like to admit.


My creative skills for candidate sourcing and a knack for remembering odd details about candidates mean I can match up candidates to jobs others might not have thought about.

Recruitment Consultant

Jodie brings over 8 years of hands-on experience within the legal industry, having worked as a Legal Secretary across both Australia and the UK. During this time, she supported Partners and legal teams across a broad range of practice areas, giving her a genuine understanding of the demands, expectations and realities of working in legal support.


Now working in legal recruitment, Jodie uses that first-hand experience to connect legal support professionals with opportunities where they can genuinely thrive. Having sat on both sides of the recruitment process, she understands what makes a great candidate, what firms are looking for, and the importance of getting the right fit beyond simply matching a CV to a job description.



Jodie takes the time to understand what matters to both her candidates and clients - from team culture and working style to career goals, responsibilities and long-term aspirations. Her approach is personal, honest and relationship-driven, with a focus on building lasting partnerships and finding the right fit for everyone involved.

Rachel is an accomplished executive search consultant specialising in the legal sector. She works with a select group of leading international and specialist law firms on retained partner and associate search mandates in Australia and overseas, combining global reach with deep local market insight.


Rachel began her career in recruitment in the investment banking sector in London and New York. After relocating to Australia she spent more than five years at Clayton Utz building strong relationships with partners and emerging legal talent before joining Definitive Consulting / DC Legal over eight years ago to focus exclusively on executive search.

Michelle is a highly experienced executive search consultant specialising in associate and partner recruitment for law firms in Australia and abroad. She combines deep local market insight with extensive international experience, having advised leading Magic Circle, Silver Circle, US and boutique firms on retained and exclusive searches across all major practice areas.


Michelle’s approach is research-driven and relationship-focused. With over 18 years in legal recruitment, Michelle has a proven track record of successfully delivering on complex, high-stakes hiring from associate hiring in Australia to senior international appointments. Her expertise includes market mapping, talent pipelining, candidate sourcing and discrete due diligence.
